This movie is the epitome of childhood adventure. I don't know anyone who dislikes this film. I babysat for some little kids last summer and showed them this movie and they loved it too. This movie is for every generation. In fact, my dad still does the truffle shuffle. Love these Josh! Id love to see a Lost Boys reunion. Can you do Reverse Gremlins (1984. Great Movie! When I was a kid I'd seen this at the movie ever,I bought some of those buble0gum movie cards like you used to be able to back then, and it had these scenes on some of confused metime around the early 90's I went to like a youth center place and they had Goonies on vhs. All of these scenes were more sense then :D.

If memory serves, there was some sort of legal issues going on with the Goonies, I think it had to do with a rerelease/remaster. I remember reading that Jeff Cohen ended up getting involved and was one of the lawyers involved to help settle things, and get the project back on track (from a legal perspective. Why is the Asian guy was and is the sweetest thing ever? And his voice omg. The combination of great actors and great directing and editing, makes this film superb and timeless. ⮚ The Goonies (1985) f'ul'l M'o'V'iE ⮘. I almost cried watching this. I miss thee 80s. Ok definitely one of my favorite movies growing up. Yup. When I finally found out who Josh Brolin was in Deadpool 2, not only did Wade calling him One Eye Willie made sense, but my jaw punched through 6 floors in my building. Based on the amount of comments here alone, I would have to say this film has become a cult favorite. Once a film reaches that status any form of critique based on technical or artistic achievement becomes meaningless. Perhaps the reason this film strikes a chord is that it spoke to a generation which still hadn't been polluted completely by video and computers. Videos were still pretty new and most households did not have a VCR. AOL was just three letters in the alphabet. Kids still had the opportunity and time to explore and use their imagination. In this respect the film speaks to all childhoods up through the 1980's and can be enjoyed by all generations up to that era. Of course, today's children can also enjoy the film but unfortunately they may not identify with this type of adventure. However, it may inspire today's kids to go outside and use their brains and imagination instead of their remotes or keyboards and therefore giving this film more strength than it had the first time around. Incidently, during the eighties Mr. Speilberg enjoyed placing Disney icons in his films (try looking for them in E.T., Poltergeist, the Indy films, 1942, etc. In this film, his production crew copied the set pieces of the Disneyland ride Pirates of the Caribbean for the Pirate Ship/Treasure Cave scene. In an era when movies are turned into rides (especially Speilberg movies like Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, etc. it's neat to see a ride turn into a movie.
